The Angus and Tayside area is rich in golf courses and golf history, with Carnoustie itself hosting the British Open Championship no less that 7 times. In 2011 the Carnoustie Championship course was used for the first time for the Ricoh Women’s British Open and was won by Yani Tseng of Taiwan. Paula Creamer (Pink Panther) stayed at Linksview Guest House that week but struggled more than expected with the conditions.

In June 2012 Carnoustie hosted the Ladies British Amateur Open and we were delighted to have the Spanish team staying with us. One of our guests, Rocio Sanchez Lobato, won second place.

St Andrews is just 35 minutes from Carnoustie.
